Welcome to the blog! Come back for weekly posts documenting my marathon training journey every Sunday.

Since starting marathon training, I’ve doubled my weekly mileage and long run distance! This was my highest volume week to date.
One Month Down, Three To Go - Wineglass Marathon Training Week 4
I’m officially 25% done with marathon training! This week’s highlights were my first hill workout and 12 mile long run through Old San Juan.
Training through the Long Weekend - Wineglass Marathon Training Week 3
The second half of week 3 included a long weekend at a farm on the south side of Puerto Rico which means two hot, hilly runs with a very cute dog by my side! I’m enjoying sticking to a routine even when travel requires extra dedication.
Committing to the Routine - Wineglass Marathon Training Week 2
Week 2 is all about building miles, continuing consistent strength and committing to a training routine. I know that getting up on days I don’t want to and sticking to a schedule is what is going to pay off on marathon race day.
Taking the First Step - Wineglass Marathon Training Week 1
It’s week 1 and I’m excited to build my mileage as I work towards 26.2. This week included running without headphones, a post-run lagoon dip and trying to heal my shoulder pain.
Why I’m Running My Third Marathon
After racing marathons in Baltimore in 2018 and Chicago in 2023, I’m gearing up for 26.2 on a different course this fall. Each marathon cycle has been a conscious choice knowing the time & energy needed to train and this year is no different. Plus, I figured why not start blogging!
